Professor Geert Crombez: "Beyond
the Fear of Pain"

This is the eleventh of an annual series
of lectures on timely pain topics, in honour
of those individuals who have made an outstanding
contribution to the study and management of pain.
Wilbert
Fordyce was a
professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine
at the University of Washington in the US prior to
his retirement. This year
a short appreciation of his life and work will be
given by Eric Ghadiali from The Walton Centre
in Liverpool.
Geert Crombez is head
of the Department of Experimental, Clinical and Health
Psychology at Ghent University. His main research
interests are the fear of pain and attention to pain.
This lecture is free to all but admission
will be by ticket only. Registration is
requested so that participants can be sent
the relevant lecture details (programme,
directions to the venue, ticket for admission
etc.)
