Pain Meetings

The Pain Research Institute is very much concerned with education about pain and its treatment. Courses are run each year with additional occasional scientific meetings.

    ROYAL SOCIETY OF MEDICINE CONFERENCE

  • Diagnostic Problems in the Pain Clinic

  • Thursday 12th June 2008
Western Rooms, Liverpool Cathedral, 1 St.James Mount, Liverpool

The aim of the meeting is to introduce diagnostic approaches employed in the management of chronic pain, with an emphasis on conditions refractory to conventional treatment. Treatment plans are not only based on aetiology but also presumed pathophysiology, type and quality of the pain itself. At the end of the course the attendees will have learned to diagnose different types of pain, essentials of assessment of chronic pain patients with diverse conditions, and how to develop a treatment plan.

Courtesy of sponsorship, the the dinner will be charged at £10 only.
